From initial requirements engineering to final product release, the Usability Engineering Competence Center supports companies in developing solutions that are usable and customer-focused. The high and reliable quality of our service is based on more than 20 years of research and practice in the design and evaluation of information and cooperation systems. As a member of the leading Usability boards in DIN and DATech we are actively involved in shaping official usability standards, guidelines and recommendations.

The Usability team analyses and evaluates software and webware (e.g., portals, online services, eCommerce or eCRM) and hardware. We support requirements engineering, help to validate ergonomic aspects of style guides and requirements specifications, provide support for prototyping and assist in interaction and GUI design.

On a more general level, we help software developers to plan and implement measures that foster usability throughout their software development process.
